BIO: Leslie has always lived in and around Lake Michigan, equipped with a great love of art, music and the outdoors. Currently living in Miller Beach, where there is no shortage of inspiration.

STATEMENT:I listen to music to get into the rhythm of painting, particularly jazz or other atmospheric sounds.

My work comes from an intuitive place and I like to capture a view into nature, people and places that move me,  working with different mediums and many different surfaces to fit the expression.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

  I draw because I can.

  I paint because I can.

I like it and it has served me well.  And I can't seem to stop. 

I enjoy new processes and media, but I usually end up going back to the basics. 

I just enjoy seeing light and color and reflections and illusions.

And then I try to recreate and show others what I see.

I don't think of myself as expressive.  Just illustrative.

The pictures and simple and make me happy.
